Laguna Beach residents may hear a shrill sound Monday as the city tests its Outdoor Warning System.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA ā This is a test, Laguna Beach ā a test of the city's Outdoor Warning System. Laguna Beach residents may hear the ringing of an alarm Monday at 1:30 p.m. as the city conducts a test of its outdoor alarm system, the city announced Monday.
The Outdoor Warning System test includes a brief tone alert followed by an audio message, the city said.
The Outdoor Warning System is compiled of speakers and sirens throughout Laguna Beach. Both speakers and sirens can be activated to issue emergency alerts and warnings to residents within the alert areas, and provide instructions to the community in the event of an emergency.
