Good Thursday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's looking like another dismal day. Yep, it's looking really small out there!
The conditions are starting off mostly clean, with a very minor dose of slowly building west-northwest swell in the water. That recipe is offering some weak dumpy lines, with not much to work with. It might be a good day to get out an SUP and go for a paddle!
Most spots in Laguna Beach are hanging in the ankle- to knee-high range, with the focal points pulling a few plus sets.

Taking a look at the tides ... at 8:54 this morning it climbs way up to a 5.7 high, which is going to have many spots pretty swamped or even shut off mid-morning. Your best bet is to wait for that tide to turn around and drop a bit. It eventually drains out to a negative 0.6 low at 3:42 this afternoon.
If you're planning on paddling, break out at least a 3/2 fullsuit or the 4/3 and possibly the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
