Thursday Surf Report

A small to decent dose of action.

Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report.  Well we're dealing with another really high tide which is going to have many spots in this area shut down or swamped throughout mid-morning.  Once that tide drops a bit, you should be able to find some fun ones.

The conditions are starting off clean and glassy, with a mixture of mostly fading south-southwest swell and some new westerly energy starting to show.  That recipe is offering some crumbly and dumpy lines, which are breaking close to shore at many spots early on.

Most Laguna Beach spots are hanging in the knee- to waist-high range, with the top combo breaks pulling a few stomach-high-plus sets.

At 8:10 this morning the tide pushes up to a 5.3 high and then drains out to a negative 0.3 low at 2:42 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit or the 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees.  See ya in the water!
