Thursday Surf Report: Get Out of Town!

There's not much energy along this stretch of sand.

Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with you Laguna Beach Patch surf report.  Well, the surf has picked up just a little, but unfortunately we're still not seeing much energy along this stretch of sand.  If you have the time, head north or south where you can find a few playful-size waves coming through.

The conditions are starting off  clean and glassy, with a mixture of some very minor northwest windswell and some minimal south-southwesterly energy.  That's providing this area some quick little drained-out dribblers that might be workable with a log.

Most Laguna Beach spots are hanging in the ankle-high range, with the standout breaks pulling knee-high waves, with maybe a few bigger ones.

Taking a look at the tides...at 9:08 this morning the tide drops to a 0.4 low, which will have many spots drained out and lacking water mid- to late morning.  The tide then pushes back up to a 2.8 high at 3:52 this afternoon.

If you're planning on paddling, throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit or a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees.  See ya in the water.
