Traffic Expected During SCE Night Work, Pole Replacement

Workers will be out overnight in some areas, on the streets in others, improving Laguna Beach roadways for area residents and visitors.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — This week in Laguna Beach expect work in the Southbound lanes of Ocean Avenue and on Bluebird Canyon Drive, officials said.

Sunday through Friday:

SCE Night Work on Ocean Avenue - On Sunday, May 12, through Friday, May 17, between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. each night, Southern California Edison (SCE) will be conducting work to reinforce a vault located in the vehicle lanes at 299 Ocean Avenue. The southbound lane of Ocean Avenue, immediately south of the Ocean Avenue / Beach Street intersection, will be blocked. SCE personnel will direct traffic during the work. Monday:

SCE Pole Replacement - On Monday, May 13, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., Southern California Edison (SCE) will be replacing a utility pole located at the intersection of Bluebird Canyon Drive and Keller Way. The westbound lane at Bluebird Canyon Drive will be blocked in the vicinity of the work and personnel will be directing traffic. This project was originally scheduled for April 29 but was rescheduled due to poor weather conditions. For questions or concerns, please contact SCE’s Customer Service number at (800) 611-1911.

Thursday through Friday:

Cox Night Work on Ocean Avenue - On Thursday, May 16, through Friday, May 17, between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., Cox Communications will be replacing a vault located in the sidewalk at 460 Ocean Avenue. The sidewalk will be closed periodically and approximately six parking stalls adjacent to the site will be closed off during the work.
