Tuesday Surf Report

Time to pray for some surf!

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report.  Well, this stretch of coast just doesn't want to come to life lately.  So, I suggest heading down south a bit where you'll find some rideable waves.

The good news ... the conditions are pretty clean and glassy, but with the approaching storms over the next couple of days, this could be the last clean day for a little while.

We're seeing a small mix of minor west-northwest energy and some really small southerly swell in the water.  That's making for some crumbly and dumpy lines that are breaking close to shore at many spots, due to the early-morning high tide.

Most Laguna Beach spots are seeing ankle-high waves, with the standout breaks pulling a few knee-high waves, with not much more than that.

At 6:29 this morning the tide pushed up to a 5.9 high, which will have many spots pretty swamped or even shut down early- to mid-morning.  The tide then drains out to a negative 1.0 low at 1:41 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, throw on at least a 3/2 full or a 4/3 and possibly the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 56 and 58 degrees.  See ya in the water!
