Tuesday Surf Report

She's in need of a wake-up call!!

Good Tuesday morning surfers I'm Surf Junkie Jeff, with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report.  Well, she's in need of a wake-up call!!  Yep, it's looking really small along this stretch of coastline.

The conditions are nice and glassy early on, with a mixture of energy in the water.  There's some lingering northwest swell and some minor southerly swell in the background.

That recipe is providing some weak dribbly lines, with maybe a few loggable waves.  Most spots in Laguna Beach are running about ankle- to knee-high, with the focal points pulling maybe a plus set.

At 6:59 this morning the tide climbs up to a 4.6 high, which will have many spots pretty slow throughout mid-morning.  So if you can...wait for that tide to drop a bit before paddling out.  It eventually drains out to a 0.0 low at 1:41 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, break out at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 58 degrees.  See ya in the water!

FYI...County Health Officials urge surfers and swimmers to stay out of the ocean for at least 72 hours after a rain due to urban runoff, especially near river mouths, storm drains and harbor entrances.
