Upscale Tattoo Parlor Approved By Planning Commission
Bare Bones Tattoo won approval at the Wednesday meeting of the Laguna Beach Planning Commission.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Owner Zane Leibowitz has upscale plans for his new tattoo parlor, slated for a location on South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach. According to the Daily Pilot, he plans on wearing cocktail attire while he designs and applies the permanent ink to his clients at his shop.
On Wednesday, the Laguna Beach Planning Commission gave their approval to his plans, by a vote of 4-1, Anne Johnson in dissent, of the permit for Bare Bones Tattoo.
The shop will be located at 2940 S. Coast Highway, previously run by Sea Interior Design, according to the commission.

Leibowitz, who earned his stripes in tattoo shops across the county, is planning on a luxury tattoo experience for the South Laguna store. He currently is an artist at White Lotus Tattoo, of Laguna Hills.
Though Johnson was concerned about the proximity of the tattoo parlor to area schools, Leibowitz promised that this would not be your typical tattoo shop.

"I'm stepping away from the stereotypical look and feel of tattoo shops and creating something completely different in a gallery-influenced environment."
