If you're an Elderly or Senior U.S. Veteran who has provided at least 90 days of active duty service with at least one day during a wartime period, are at least 65 years old, and have low-income, you could be eligible for Veterans' Benefits from the Veteran Administration.
The VA offers two sources of financial aid called Veterans' Pension and Aid & Attendance. The former has a low-income requirement that only qualifies you if your household income doesn't exceed the Maximum Annual Pension Rate.
For Aid & Attendance applicants, the veteran must require assistance from another individual for personal care and activities of daily living, and be able to prove it. These applicants may be able to bypass the income requirement of basic pension.
