Video: Fire Crews Battle Silverado Canyon Cabin Blaze

A two-story cabin in Silverado canyon was destroyed in an early morning blaze, but crews were able to keep the fire from spreading.


Fire extensively damaged a two-story cabin in a remote area of Silverado Canyon early today, but no one was hurt.

The fire was reported in the 28600 block of Sycamore Drive around 12:45 a.m., Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi said. A resident and a dog were safely evacuated from the cabin, and no injuries were reported, Concialdi said.

The fire spread briefly to an adjoining structure, but this was quickly contained, Concialdi said.

The fire in the cabin was being fought by 30 firefighters from the city and county of Orange and was knocked down at 2:07 a.m., Concialdi said.
