Wednesday Wave Check

Could be a fun window mid-day!

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report.  Well there's not a lot of size, but you can probably find a few fun ones at those top south facing spots a little later in the day.

The conditions are nice and glassy early on, with a combination of mainly minor lingering south-southwest swell and a very little northwest energy in the mix.

That recipe is providing some kinda crumbly semi-wally lines that are breaking too close to shore at many spots early on.  Look for things to improve as that tide begins to drop.

Most Laguna Beach breaks are running about knee- to waist-high, with the south facing focal points pulling a few plus sets.

At 7:37 this morning the tide pushes up to a 5.4 high, which will have many spots along this stretch of sand pretty swamped or even possibly shut down early to mid-morning.  The tide eventually drains out to a negative 0.4 low at 2:18 this afternoon.

If you're planning on paddling, throw on at least a 3/2 full or a 4/3 and possibly the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 56 and 58 degrees.  Good luck out there!
