Woman Arrested For Suspected DUI After S. Coast Hwy Rollover

The driver was uninjured in the Laguna Beach-area accident, officials siad.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA – A woman from Northern California was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a Wednesday night accident along South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, authorities said.

Laguna Beach police and fire crews were called to a rollover-collision report at 9:30 p.m. to the highway, at the intersection with Mountain Street, where a Range Rover, which was traveling south on the highway, flipped on it side after hitting an unoccupied, parked Audi, the Laguna Beach Police Department said.

The Range Rover's driver, identified as Ramelle Bayer of Tiburon, was extracted uninjured from the car, police said.

"She was not injured, but was visibly intoxicated," the department said, adding that she was arrested for DUI.

The accident closed both southbound lanes of South Coast Highway, and traffic was diverted to Glenneyre Street for one hour.
