2 Killed In South OC Home; Deputies Shoot Suspect

A 77-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman were found dead Tuesday morning in their south Orange County home.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Two people were found dead and another was injured Tuesday at a South Orange County mobile home park, where responding sheriff's deputies apparently opened fire and wounded a possible suspect.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to a "domestic incident" at about 7:30 p.m. in the 32000 block of Alipaz Street, near Del Obispo, in San Juan Capistrano.

According to authorities, deputies found the bodies of two people — a 77-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman — inside the mobile home upon arriving. Deputies also found a dog that was pronounced dead at the scene.

While investigating the scene, deputies received a report that a "bloody" male suspect was in the area chasing a maintenance worker.

Deputies tracked down the suspect and ultimately shot him. He was taken to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.

It's unclear what led deputies to shoot the man.

A sheriff's spokesman says "it does appear all these people are related in some fashion," but that relationship is unclear.
