1 Killed When Stolen U-Haul Slams Car During Police Chase In OC
At least one person died as a result of the morning crash in south Orange County, authorities said.
SAN CLEMENTE, CA — One person died when a stolen U-Haul led police on a chase in San Clemente that ended in a crash.
The incident started at 8 a.m., when San Clemente deputies tried to make a traffic stop on a U-Haul and the driver of the truck did not stop.
The U-Haul led police on a chase that ultimately ended near Ola Vista and Granada in San Clemente, when the U-Haul crashed into a car full of passengers.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while others were hospitalized, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department. The two people inside of the U-Haul attempted to leave the scene on foot, but were caught.
Their identities were not immediately released.
