100+ Degree Temps Hit OC Labor Day Weekend; High Fire Risk Weather
Inland Orange County temperatures are forecasted to hit triple-digits this weekend, with the county's beach cities being spared.
DANA POINT, CA — An intense heat wave is forecasted to spread across Orange County, with weather officials issuing an excessive heat advisory for cities across the county last from 10 a.m. Tuesday through 8 p.m. Monday.
In Dana Point, areas near the immediate coastline will be spared from most of the triple-digit heat. Residents can expect temperatures to slowly rise throughout the week, with forecasts calling for temperatures ranging from 83 to 86 degrees from Wednesday through Sunday, according to Accuweather.
On Labor Day, the heat wave will come to a head with 93 degree temperatures predicted in Dana Point.

The major heat wave is expected to scorch all of Southern California through the weekend, putting parts of Orange County at high risk for wildfire.
Health officials advise residents to stay indoors with air conditioning whenever possible, drink plenty of fluids and avoid hiking or other strenuous activity in extreme heat.
