2 New Dessert Spots Opening In Dana Point

Two new sweet spots are opening up in Dana Point's burgeoning Lantern Village District, The Orange County Register reported.

DANA POINT, CA — South Orange County residents will enjoy two new sweet spots set to open later this year, after Dirty Dough Cookies and Bruster's Real Ice Cream announced locations in Dana Point, The Orange County Register reported.

The two businesses will join a slew of other eateries within Dana Point's burgeoning Lantern Village District, including Maison Cafe + Market, Clean Juice, Bear Coast Coffee, Homeslice, Dana Point Ale House and Truly Pizza, the report said.

Utah-based enterprise Dirty Dough specializes in preparing cookies with layers, mix-ins and fillings within the dough, according to the website.

“The other guys can focus on making cutesy, clean cookies that look better than they taste,” according to the company's website. “Dirty Dough sells cookies for real life, which can get a little messy.”

Bruster's Real Ice Cream will also open for business in the Lantern Village District, a scoop shop that serves rich ice cream with 12 percent butterfat, the report said.
