ALISO VIEJO, CA — A fire ravaged an Aliso Viejo home in south Orange County early Thursday morning, rendering the structure uninhabitable for residents and their pets.
Shortly before 5 a.m., Orange County Fire Authority firefighters raced to the Tivoli housing development to battle a fire on San Marco.
"The first-arriving crews encountered heavy fire and smoke from the second floor and quickly knocked down the fire in approximately 10 minutes," an OCFA spokesperson said.
Though no one was injured, two adults and pets were displaced after the incident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, officials say. OCFA cleared the scene shortly before 9 a.m.
"Remember that working smoke detectors save lives," they said. "Test yours monthly and make sure they are protecting your family."
