SAN CLEMENTE, CA — A local family is asking for the public's help after a father of five suffered a spinal cord injury on Saturday, Aug. 15.
Now, the community is rallying behind San Clemente dad Josh Collete after the injury left him facing a long and uncertain recovery.
"The road ahead will be long, and the recovery will not be easy, we're holding onto hope," Craig Collette wrote on GoFundMe. "We believe in miracles! We've already seen so many and thank everyone for the love, and prayers."
Since its creation on Monday, the GoFundMe has succeeded in raising almost $65,000 out of a $110,000 goal.
"Donations for Josh will help ease the burden of medical bills, long term therapy, and support for our family as we navigate this recovery," Craig wrote.
