LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — This week, Laguna Niguel residents will say farewell to one Trader Joe's while saying 'hello' to a second, The Orange County Register reported.
The move is the latest in a series of expansion moves by the Monrovia-based grocery chain, the report said.
"The new store will have the same amazing Crew Members and products with a newly designed layout and bigger space," a company representative confirmed to the newspaper on Monday.
The new Trader Joe's will split the former Bed Bath & Beyond building with Ulta Beauty, leasing 14,277 square feet from property owner Shea Properties, the report said.
The new Laguna Niguel Trader Joe's will open on Thursday at 8 a.m. and is located at 32391 Golden Lantern.
The opening coincides with a second Trader Joe's opening in Anaheim Hills.
This week, Anaheim Hills residents said "hello" to the 295th Trader Joe's location at the intersection of East Santa Ana Canyon Road and South Fairmont Boulevard.
The store replaces the former Big Lots building in Anaheim Hills.
Doors are slotted to open at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.
The company has been steadily expanding across Orange County, after a Trader Joe's opened in 2025 in Costa Mesa, taking over a former 99 Cents Only Store.
The new Trader Joe's in Anaheim Hills is located at 6336 E. Santa Ana Canyon Road.
