Big Rig Slams Truck, Kills 1 In South OC

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — At least one person was killed in a crash on the Interstate 5 Freeway when a big rig collided with a truck, authorities said Tuesday.

The crash was reported at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday near the Avenida Palizada exit of the freeway, where they found the damaged vehicles

The victim, who was not immediately identified, was found dead at the scene. It was not immediately known if the victim was driving the big rig or the truck.

The crash slowed southbound freeway traffic for several hours, the California Highway Patrol said.
