San Juan Capistrano, California: The Capistrano Coast Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. (NCL) was recognized by Operation Interdependence, a civilian-to-military support organization, for their many years of contributions to deployed forces serving on the front lines.
“We honor you for your commitment and labor of love in contributing to the Operation Interdependence collaborative effort”, said representative Donna Pikula, as she presented NCL chapter president Jodi Most and Philanthropy Liaison Heather Anderson with a Certificate of Appreciation.
Over the years, the 250 mother-daughter members of NCL, Inc., Capistrano Coast Chapter have raised money, packed care packages and made hand-written thank you cards for Operation Interdependence to support our deployed forces without impacting military resources.

On a Sunday afternoon in November, the chapter was once again at work to make a difference for local
philanthropies. Teen girls along side their mothers participated in the Chapter’s Done-In-A-Day philanthropy projects. In additional to making 250 care packages and thank you cards for Operation Interdependence, the group made 400 smile bracelets benefitting victims of domestic abuse at Laura’s House, 250 thanksgiving placemats for local senior centers and packed 400 candy goodie bags for the
Boys & Girls club.
The group also held their annual Philanthropy Fair where the girls learned about volunteer opportunities
at various non-profits. The event hosted representatives from Family Assistance
League, J.F. Shea Therapeutic Riding Center, OC Ronald McDonald House, Women
Helping Women, Ocean Institute, Boys and Girls, and OC Libraries for Dana Point
and San Juan Capistrano.
