City, Sheriff's Department To Discuss Fentanyl In The Community
Laguna Niguel residents can learn about how to protect their family from fentanyl at this April 12 discussion.
LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — Laguna Niguel residents can be a part of a vital community discussion on Wednesday, April 12, as Laguna Niguel City Councilmember Ray Gennawey hosts a "Fighting Back Fentanyl" community discussion.
The discussion will be led by Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes, District Attorney Todd Spitzer and Amy Neville of the Alexander Neville Foundation.
Amy Neville is the mother of Alexander Neville, a 14-year-old student at Niguel Hills Middle School who died of fentanyl poisoning.

"Fentanyl poisoning is the leading cause of death for children in Orange County," Gennawey said. "In 2021, fentanyl claimed the lives of over 700 people — of all ages — in the county."
Residents can be a part of the discussion on Wednesday, April 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Crown Valley Community Center's ballroom, 29751 Crown Valley Pkwy.
