Multiple showings are available for the public for the show, presented by SOCSA at Dana Hills High School's Porthole Theater.
DANA POINT, CA—Bring your tissues and get ready to hear the people sing. Starting in April, the South Orange County School of the Arts invites you to experience 1832 Paris.
The production will open on April 10 and have additional showings on April 11, 12, 18, and 19, all starting at 7 p.m. The final two performances will take place on April 20 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Dana Hills High School's Porthole Theater—Premium, located at 33333 Street of the Golden Lantern, Dana Point. Tickets are $20 for premium seats and $15 for standard and can be purchased online.
The cast has been practicing for months, according to the DP Times, which interviewed them earlier this month. More than 40 auditioned, and callbacks were grueling, Evelin Chavez, the student Publicity and Marketing Head for SOCSA, told the DP Times.

“We weren’t initially supposed to be doing Les Misérables; we planned on doing Little Shop of Horrors,” Chavez told the Times. “But Les Misérables is such a huge musical. When we got the rights for it at the end of last year, super unexpectedly, since it's rare to get the rights, it surprised us. We just decided to do it, because we felt that it was just the right time.”
The students designed and created costumes for the many actors, built the sets, a "live" barricade, and sewers, and created the set with moveable parts for the different scenes.

Chavez told the Times that the cast is most looking forward to showing off the barricade.
"There are going to be people jumping off, dying, gunshots, fog, smoke, crazy lights, and hazers," she said. "It is one of the most intense scenes of the entire show."
"Join this cast of characters as they walk the road to Revolution. Get ready to be amazed by these talented performers! We will be offering some delicious charcuterie boards for sale at intermission at this show.".png)
