Dana Point Gets a Good New Habit: Burger Joint Grand Opening Sept. 7

DANA POINT, CA — Dana Point's The Habit Burger is set to open on Wednesday, Sept. 7 in the Ocean Ranch Village.

The first 200 fans to the restaurant will receive a free chargrilled meal from a pre-fixe menu according to recent release.

The restaurant held two fundraisers on Saturday, September 3 for area charities, including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Dana Hills High School.

100% of the proceeds will go back to these organizations, The Habit Burger announced.

The new Dana Point restaurant is just over 2,900-square-feet and seats 42 people with additional patio seating for 28 guests. The restaurant will be open Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a drive-thru open until 11 p.m. and Monday – Saturday 10:30 a.m. – 11 p.m. with drive-thru open until 12 midnight.

"Better burgers are just the beginning at The Habit where the menu also includes salads, sandwiches including line-caught, sushi grade albacore tuna, lean pastrami and hand-cut marinated grilled tri-tip, and sides including onion rings, sweet potato and French fries and tempura green beans," the Habit Burger announced. "Guests can choose from a variety of peppers, lemons, limes and sauces at a complimentary condiment bar to customize the flavor of their meal. The Habit also serves shakes and malts."

The Habit is known for its award-winning Charburger which features 100-percent fresh, never frozen ground beef grilled over an open flame and topped with melted cheese, caramelized onions, mayo, pickles, fresh tomato and crisp lettuce and served on a toasted bun.

The Habit has been serving the Best Tasting Burger in America exactly this way since the first restaurant opened in 1969.
