Dogs To Take The Streets In Laguna Niguel For Community Pack Walk: What To Know

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — While record-breaking heat striking the region may be forcing many indoors, our four-legged friends are still itching to get outside.

The Pack Walk of OC, an AKC FIT DOG club, is hosting its regular pack walk around Laguna Niguel Regional Park on Sept. 19.

The community event attracts countless residents and their pups to the park each month for the very special outing.

"Pack walks are a great way to continue socialization in a structured form, provide vital exposure, meet new friends, and give your dog a tiring and stimulating activity," Pack Walk of OC said.

While dogs of all breeds were welcomed to join in on the walk, organizers asked attending residents to be mindful of the following:

• No retractable leashes.
• No direct, nose-to-nose greetings until after the pack walk.
• No females in heat.
• Anxious dogs may go toward the front of the pack.
