Driver Dies In Fiery Laguna Hills Crash
Police are investigating what led to the collision Wednesday morning that claimed the life of an unidentified man in south Orange County.

LAGUNA HILLS, CA —An unidentified man died Wednesday in a single-car crash in Laguna Hills, an Orange County Fire Authority spokesperson said.
911 calls came in at approximately 10:30 a.m., saying a McLaren sports car crashed into a traffic signal and burst into flames, said Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Paul Holaday.
The crash occurred at Community Center Drive near the entrance of the Laguna Hills Community Center, said Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Speed was believed to be a factor in the crash, according to Braun.
The sports car was on fire when the firefighters arrived, OCFA Capt. Paul Holaday said. The driver, thought to be a man, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Holaday.

Orange County sheriff's deputies were investigating the cause of the crash, he said.
