KIDS RUN THE OC Training

Malcom Elementary will be participating in the Kids Run the OC (KROC) program once again this year.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with this program, it is a 10-12 week after school training program that culminates in students running a 1 mile race at the OC Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 5th

Trainings take place for one hour directly after school on Wednesdays and Fridays, beginning February 8th.  The program is open to any Malcom student, but Kindergartners may only participate if parents accompany them to all trainings.  In order to participate, students must sign up through the OC Marathon.  The OC Marathon charges $25.00, which covers the training program, race entry, race t-shirt and finisher’s medals. We encourage you to use the online registration as Malcom receives $5.00 for every student who does so.

Look for complete information about the program, race and registration coming home soon in Thursday Folders.  Parent volunteers are needed to help supervise activities, act as a crossing guard and run or walk with the students when we run off campus.  If you can help us out, or if you have any questions, please send an e-mail to: fdmorris@capousd.org
