Fight At South OC Beauty Salon Triggers Manhunt In Dana Point Monday

DANA POINT, CA — Two men were injured in a fight at a San Clemente beauty salon, with one man being arrested after a manhunt that ended in Dana Point Monday afternoon, the Orange County Register reported.

The fight started after a man tried cashing a check at a beauty salon near W. Canada and Avenida Del Poniente in San Clemente. According to the report, the owner of the salon refused to accept the check.

Soon after, OC Sheriff deputies received multiple calls around 2 p.m. reporting the fight. The callers also reported to dispatch that the suspect had a pocketknife and left the scene by car toward Max Beg Plaza Park in San Clemente, OCSD Sgt. Scott Steinle told the OC Register.

The suspect was also reported to have left his car at some point before jumping a fence into an apartment complex in Dana Point, authorities said.

Later that afternoon, he was arrested in the area of 34000 block of Via Elevado. He had sustained a cut on his hand, and the victim of the altercation had two cuts on his chest and hand, the OC Register reported.
