Fire At Doheney Beach Hotel Prompts Evacuation

Dana Point Hotel Guests were evacuated Monday following a fire at the Double Tree Hotel.

DANA POINT, CA — A Monday morning fire at the Dana Point Doheny State Beach Double Tree Hotel prompted the evacuation of guests present, according to Orange County Fire Authority.

"The blaze broke out at about 11 a.m. at the hotel, located at the 34400 block of Pacific Coast Highway," OCFA Captain Larry Kurtz said.

The fire, centered in the hotel's kitchen, forced the evacuation of the guests of the hotel. Flames were quickly squelched according to Kurtz and no one was injured from the incident.
