Fire Ignites In Laguna Niguel Strip Mall

The fire broke out shortly before 7 a.m. on Sunday in a strip mall, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — A fire that broke out in a strip mall in south Orange County Sunday was sparked by an electrical failure, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.

The fire ignited just before 7 a.m. Sunday at 28940 Golden Lantern, firefighters said. It was knocked down in 10 minutes and no injuries were reported, the OCFA said.

The cause of the blaze, firefighters said, was an unspecified electrical failure in a power strip supplying electricity to a towel warmer in the back storage room of a nail salon.
