Full Ortega Highway Shutdown Scheduled For March: What To Know

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Be aware, motorists: a full 55-hour weekend closure is scheduled to disrupt motorists driving between Orange and Riverside counties.

The full road closure will start Friday, March 13 at 10 p.m. and last until Sunday, March 16 at 5 a.m. on the Ortega Highway.

There will be no through access between Orange County and Lake Elsinore, with closure work limits at South Main Divide to Grand Avenue.

Residents at El Cariso Village and west of South Main Divide will be granted Orange County access only, according to the California Highway Patrol.
