Give Blood, Get Yoga: Dana Point Harbor Offers Donation Extras

DANA POINT, CA — Dana Point Harbor and the American Red Cross are partnering in a new blood drive in south Orange County. Partnering with area businesses, through free classes and giveaways, both hope to reach more people and encourage them to make lifesaving blood donations.

Dana Point Harbor is used to touting the finer lifestyle points of the beautiful beach town. The Harbor Partners work together to share stories of the stores and restaurants in the waterfront area. Still, getting the message to all that donating blood to the American Red Cross is the most necessary story of all.

"If you donate blood on Monday, Aug. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the blood drive, you can receive:

• Free iHeartYoga class
• Free Coffee Importers coffee or ice cream
• Free Killer Dana Tote Bag

After your blood donation, why not stroll around the Dana Point Harbor area? Stop in for a bite at the Brig Restaurant for outdoor seating, or give yourself a treat with some hand-crafted chocolate from the Chocolate Soldier, among the many other Dana Harbor restaurants and wineries available for visitors.

Or, perhaps you'd rather do some shopping? Dana Point Harbor stores do not disappoint in the shopping and gift-buying arena.

Our favorite activity at Dana Point Harbor is going whale watching. We suggest you hop onboard one of the Dana Wharf Whale Watching vessels and set out to "sea" a dolphin, whale or two!
