Hotel Heist In Laguna Hills
An early morning robbery rocked the upscale Hills Hotel, officials say. Here is what was taken.

LAGUNA HILLS, CA — Two armed men were sought Wednesday morning, both suspected of robbing an upscale Laguna Hills hotel.
Late Tuesday, Orange County Sheriff's Deputies responded to The Hills Hotel in the 25200 block of La Paz Road, just off the San Diego (5) Freeway.
Reports from the front desk say that two men in black windbreakers and dark-colored jeans walked into the hotel's lobby when one of them brandished a firearm and demanded money, according to Lt. W. Rehnalt of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

The receptionist told a news photographer at the scene the thieves got away with at least $1,000 in cash. The hotel manager stated they wanted the receptionist to empty the safe, however as there was no safe, they fled with just the cash.
Deputies searched the area around the hotel but were unable to locate the suspects, Rehnalt said, adding that detectives watched security video from the hotel in an attempt to identify the suspects.
