National Youth Ambassador for The American Humane Association and actor Lou Wegner, who among his many credits appeared in Trouble With the Curve starring Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, and Justin Timberlake, is also participating as a model during the event. Wegner is also founder of his non-profit, Kids Against Animal Cruelty (KAAC) which now has more than 50,000 members that are active in animal issues including banning puppy mills, closing down shelter gas chambers, the importance of spay/neuter and wildlife. Jasmine Star Dustin, who appeared in the movie Rush Hour 3 and TV show Doheny Models is also joining the professional models featured in the fashion show.

The All About The Animal: Homeless to Haute Gala also includes a sumptuous three course dinner and three drinks, a performance from star of Netflix and the Late Late Show comedian Steve Trevino, live music at the drinks reception, a silent auction and more: all for a partially tax-deductible ticket price of $180.00.
During the gala, Social Compassion in Legislation (SCIL) will be recognized for all that they do for animal welfare advocacy. SCIL's founder, Judie Mancuso, is also running for City Council of Laguna Beach to help both human and non-human residents of Laguna Beach. Angels n Paws will also be awarded “Rescue of the Year 2015”. Both recipients will also receive a Certificate of Recognition from the California Assembly, courtesy of Assemblyman Mike Gatto's Office.
”We are pleased to honor San Bernardino based rescue group Angels n Paws which took a backwards step after the ranch suffered severe damage recently due to being in the pathway of the Blue Cut fire,” said Laura Jones, CEO of All About The Animals who oversaw the concept and planning of this must-go-to event. “Proceeds from the gala will help them to get back on track to saving many animals' lives from the high kill shelters within Southern California.”
The event, presented by Martinez Trucking and Logistics and Davies Wegner Law along with other generous sponsors, is not only sure to be a great deal of fun, but is also for an incredibly worthwhile cause; to save and enrich the lives of abused, abandoned, neglected and unwanted pets in Southern California and beyond.
