Dana Point Woman’s Club hosted its second very successful “ Girls’ Night Out with Family and Friends” event at Jack’s Restaurant/Bar on Monday night. Members of the public, plus DPWC members and their families and friends packed the popular Dana Point Lantern District restaurant on Monday night - filling the charming venue on a normally quiet evening. This is the second time DPWC has hosted a “Girls’ Night Out” event, with the dual purpose of enjoying a wonderful dinner at a local restaurant while encouraging the owners to donate 10% of their food and beverage bills to its philanthropies.

Part way through their delicious dinners, Jack’s Owner, Jack Loconsolo and General Manager Ricardo Huacuz surprised the Board by announcing they would extend their generous donation to every diner, whether they had expressed an affiliation with DPWC or not. And icing was added to the munificent cake the next day, when they learned that the new owners of the historic building occupied by Jack’s Restaurant, Marvin and Eric Winkler of Lantern District LLC, decided to match Jack’s donation!

Co-President Karin Marsh was delighted, saying “This is a fabulous win-win opportunity for our Club. Our members, their guests and the general public are so happy to support a great local restaurant while encouraging a donation to our philanthropic projects. Dinner was fantastic, and all our guests went home very happy and well fed. Thank you Jack and Ricardo! And thank you Marvin and Eric Winkler for your generous matching donation!” Proceeds from the event will support DPWC’s Project Scholarship benefiting graduating Dana Hills High School Seniors and Project Literacy, supporting the Dana Point Library’s Summer Reading Program.
DPWC members and their guests enjoy a “night out”. Some of the delicious meals enjoyed Monday night.

Jack's Restaurant/Bar features Italian and seafood specialties, grass-fed meats, free-range chicken, and seasonal, organic vegetables. Jack's is known for its “clean, healthy” fare and offers several gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. Visit Jacks DP here.
