Laguna Hills Business Raises $50,000 for Pelvic Health

From September 12th to 19th, patients with a pelvic pain condition called Interstitial Cystitis joined together across the country to raise awareness and funds to help those with the condition.

Led by Dr. Nicole Cozean of PelvicSanity in Laguna Hills and supporting the Interstitial Cystitis Association (ICA), the walk had almost 10 Million steps for awareness and raised $50,000 for the non-profit organization.

Interstitial cystitis is a pelvic pain condition characterized by pain associated with the bladder and urinary urgency/frequency. It affects more than 12 million individuals across the United States.

Dr. Nicole Cozean is a leading expert on the condition and a Board Member of the ICA. She is the author of the award-winning book The Interstitial Cystitis Solution, and has created online courses for both patients (IC: Roadmap to Healing) and practitioners (IC: Evaluation and Treatment).

At her Laguna Hills clinic, PelvicSanity, the physical therapy team has treated patients from around the world with complex pelvic pain conditions. In just the last few years, more than 70 patients from 6 continents and 20+ countries have flown in for treatment here in Orange County.
