Laguna Niguel, Dana Point Cities To Host Drug Take Back Day

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — Do you have unused, old or expired prescription medication taking up space in your medicine cabinet?

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day falls on Saturday, Oct. 29, and the Orange County Sheriff's Department is hosting a slew of drop-off events for residents to stop by and dispose of their unused medication.

Cities in Orange County, along with the Orange County Sheriff's Department, host this event twice a year. It is designed to be a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs, the city said in a statement.

While unused or expired prescriptions will be accepted, the drop-off locations will not take sharp objects, marijuana, liquids or pressure canisters.

In Laguna Niguel, the drug disposal event takes place Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Laguna Niguel City Hall, 30111 Crown Valley Pkwy.
