Laguna Niguel Preliminary City Council Election Results

Laguna Niguel's Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem will continue on city council, joined by newcomer John Mark Jennings after the Nov. 8 election.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — Incumbents Mayor Laurie Davies and Mayor Pro Tem Jerry Slusiewicz will continue their work on the Laguna Niguel City Council, and will be joined by newcomer John Mark Jennings according to preliminary results from the 2016 election.

Jennings, an attorney and vice chairman of the city’s Planning Commission, ran his campaign on a mission for financial security.

“My top priorities are maintaining Laguna Niguel’s financial security, keeping taxes low and protecting property values,” he stated on his website.

Seven candidates ran for the three available council seats. 45 of 45 precincts votes were counted, and results are preliminary.
