Laguna Niguel Woman to Be Charged With Murder in Stabbing Death of Boyfriend

Police say Michele Green stabbed her boyfriend during a argument Saturday night.

A 50-year-old Laguna Niguel woman accused in the weekend stabbing death of her live-in boyfriend made her first appearance in court today, but did not enter a plea.

Arraignment was rescheduled to March 10 for Michele Green, who is facing a murder charge with a sentence-enhancing knife-use allegation, Senior Deputy District Attorney Mike Murray said.

Green allegedly stabbed 52-year-old Richard Begley on Saturday night following a ā€œdomestic dispute,ā€ according to the prosecutor, who did not elaborate.

Orange County sheriff’s deputies responding to a call of a man down found the victim on the front lawn of 24805 La Vida Drive about 8:40 p.m. Begley, who lived on the same block with the suspect, was stabbed in the stomach area.

Green remains in custody in lieu of $1 million bail.
