Landslide Closes South OC Beach Trail
The small landslide prompted San Clemente city officials to close a popular trail flanking the city's coast.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — A small landslide in San Clemente prompted officials to close a popular coastal bridge in the city, The Orange County Register reported.
San Clemente Mayor Chris Duncan told the newspaper that the landslide, which impacted Mariposa Point to El Portal, pushed safety officials to close the bridge as a safety measure to ensure that no one is injured by falling debris.
There is no projected reopening date for the popular bridge, though Duncan told The OC Register that city officials will monitor the hillside as it continues to move.
