Man Arrested For Bomb Threat At Laguna Niguel Metrolink Station Saturday, Police
A man was arrested Saturday for threatening to ignite an explosion at the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Metrolink station, authorities said.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — A man was arrested Saturday afternoon for threatening to ignite an explosion at the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Metrolink station, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.
The man, who was not identified by authorities, was taken into custody at about 1:30 p.m., OCSD spokeswoman Carrie Braun told City News Service.
According to the department, the suspect called authorities at about 8:30 a.m. while at the station, located at 28200 Forbes Road. The call prompted a response by deputies, a SWAT team, a bomb squad and the Orange County Fire Authority, Braun said.

The station was shut down and about five nearby businesses were also closed by authorities as a precaution.
It was not immediately clear if any incendiary devices were found, and more information was not immediately available.
