DANA POINT, CA — A man's body was discovered, dashed upon the rocks below the Dana Point Headlands Conservation Area, officials said.

On Friday, March 8, the Orange County Sheriff's Department received a call at approximately 3 p.m. after a passerby discovered "what looked to be a body," OCSD spokeswoman Carrie Braun said.

"The death did not look to be suspicious," she said. A rescue helicopter was needed to airlift the body from that location and the Orange County Coroner was investigating.
