Mountain Biker Injured On Laguna Niguel Trail; Firefighters Respond

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — One person was injured while mountain biking through a Laguna Niguel trail and required rescue, firefighters said this week.

The incident was reported earlier this week on Itchy Sticks Trail in Laguna Niguel, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

"Firefighters, paramedics, park rangers, Laguna Beach Fire personnel and Helicopter 4 worked together to access, stabilize and safely transport the patient to the hospital," the OCFA said in a statement.

"The incident highlights the teamwork and coordination between air resources, ground crews, neighboring agencies and park rangers to provide care in challenging and remote terrain."
