New Developments In Dana Point Celebrated At State Of The City
During the annual State of the City address on Sept. 29, Dana Point officials and investors spoke on new developments in the city.
DANA POINT, CA — Dana Point's annual State of the City address celebrated the economic growth fostered within the community in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, which saw skyrocketing unemployment rates and unprecedented business closures nationwide. Hosted by Dana Point Mayor Jamey Federico, the address commemorated the city on its resilience through the COVID-19 pandemic on Sept. 29.
Federico opened the evening by noting that while the pandemic challenged the community and the world, Dana Point moved forward with development, rezoning and infrastructure plans. He emphasized that the city didn't slow down as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Attendees of the State of the City heard accounts from business owners attracted to Dana Point for its ongoing economic development and its enriched community. Keagan Banks of Station Craft, a fine dining restaurant and brewery, said he was attracted to the Lantern District because of the new development in the area.
