A New Republican On 73rd Assembly Ticket In November
Embattled Assemblyman Bill Brough will not have the votes to make the ticket in November.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — Across the county, voters made themselves heard on everything from Supervisors, State Assemblymen and Congressmen. In Assembly District 73, after votes were counted, a new republican candidate will head to the November elections.
Current Assemblyman Bill Brough, Republican, was recently rocked by allegations of sexual misconduct by multiple women, including Orange County Supervisor Lisa Bartlett. Brought dropped to fourth place with 17.95 percent of the vote in his reelection bid. Brough has consistently denied the misconduct allegations.
Brough was ahead of only Mission Viejo City Councilman Ed Sachs, who had just 14.26 percent in the 73rd District.
