New Restaurant To Open Doors In Laguna Niguel At Former Hendrix Site

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — A new restaurant concept is coming to Laguna Niguel.

Good Boy, a restaurant designed by Specialty Restaurant Corporation, will open at Ocean Ranch Village in the former Hendrix Restaurant & Bar space in early 2027.

"Good Boy will be a place that feels equally suited for dinner, an after-work drink, weekend brunch, or a late-night celebration," spokesperson ​Chelsea Kottke said.

"We saw an opportunity to create something fresh for Laguna Niguel while remaining grounded in the warmth and hospitality guests expect from Specialty Restaurants," Chief Operations Officer for Specialty Restaurants Ryan Smith said. "Good Boy will be a playful, steak-forward concept with a ‘no veto’ menu designed to offer something for everyone. It is a place where guests can settle in, connect, and find themselves lingering well into the evening."

Once it opens in 2027, Good Boy will share space with other eateries at the same complex such as Bottega Angelina, Seasurf Fish Co. and Yoshiharu Ramen.
