New Year, New You: Hikes For Nature Lovers In Laguna Niguel 2020
Get up & get fit without the hefty cost of a gym! OC Parks offers ideas for some outdoor adventures that will get you up and moving in 2020!

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — What is your New Year's resolution for 2020? For many, it's getting up and getting active. But there is no reason for you to spend the money on joining a gym in Orange County! not when the great outdoors is beckoning from Orange County Parks.
The OC Parks folks shared their January 2020 Events Calendar for all OC Parks venues with Patch, including regional, wilderness and historical parks, sites, and beaches.

- January 4 - Wilderness Access Day at Black Star Canyon Wilderness Park
- January 4 - Modjeska's Holiday Open House at Arden: Helena Modjeska Historic House and Gardens
- January 5 - Santiago Oaks Guided Nature Hike at Santiago Oaks Regional Park
- January 18 - Irvine Regional Park Fishing Derby at Irvine Regional Park
- January 18 - Star Light, Star Bright Night Hike at Carbon Canyon Regional Park
Start right away in Laguna Niguel with the January 4 – Keep It Wild - Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park from 8 – 11 a.m.
Join Laguna Canyon Foundation and OC Parks for our habitat restoration stewardship in Aliso and Wood Canyons. We’ll learn and work together to create a healthier home for the park’s native plants and wildlife. Depending on the time of year, volunteers may assist with removal of non-native plants, seed collection, planting of native plants and/or trash pick-up along the creek.

Special Instructions: No experience is necessary, and tools are provided. Be sure to
wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, sun protection and bring water. Ages 5-16 are
welcome but must be accompanied by a parent. Students ages 16-18 are welcome with a
waiver signed by a parent/guardian that is collected at the start of the event. Registration
