OC Deputies Seek To ID Jane Doe Found On Ortega Highway

A new rendering of the victim was released in hopes that authorities may identify the young woman after she was found dead in 2006.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — The Orange County Sheriff's Department released an updated forensic rendering of a 2006 Jane Doe in an effort to help identify the woman, authorities said this week.

The rendering was made with the help of the Miami-Dade Police Department and depicts a woman who was found dead in an area off the Ortega Highway in Orange County in January 2006.

The women was described as a Hispanic female between 20 to 30 years old and weighing roughly 105 pounds. She had dark-colored hair down to her mid-back, as well as a rose stem tattoo on her left forearm, manicured fingernails with a heart design on each nail and a surgical scar below her navel.

She was wearing blue jeans and a black lycra top when she was found.
