OC Sheriff Launches Probe Into South OC DUI Arrest

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — An internal investigation into allegations of preferential treatment during an arrest was launched this month by the Orange County Sheriff's Department, The OC Register reported.

OC Sheriff Don Barnes told the newspaper the internal probe would investigate allegations that the estranged husband of a high-ranking sheriff's executive received special treatment by the department after he was detained for driving intoxicated.

The incident was reported on Saturday, Sept. 28 in San Clemente when Kambiz Izadi, the spouse of a sheriff's legal advisor Mary Izadi, was detained for reportedly driving intoxicated, the newspaper said.
