OC Social Services Agency Expands General Relief County-Wide
With general relief programs available at SSA offices county-wide, the agency's central office in Santa Ana will close its public counters.
LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA ā If you're in need of accessing assistance through the Social Services Agency of Orange County, there's no need to drive to the Santa Ana central regional office. OC social services offices county-wide are now offering general relief programs to adults in need, the agency announced Tuesday.
The Social Services Agency also announced the permanent public counter closure of its central regional office in Santa Ana. The center on Walnut Street will close its public counters Oct. 1, according to the statement.
If you need assistance through Orange County's Social Services Agency, there are several locations that not only offer access to general relief; but access to CalFresh, Medi-Cal, CalWORKs and cash assistance for adults in need. Here are a few of the locations listed, opened from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

- Anaheim Regional Center, 3320 E. La Palma Ave. Anaheim.
- Cypress Regional Center, 6100 Chip Ave. Cypress.
- Garden Grove Regional Center, 12912 Brookhurst St. Garden Grove.
- Laguna Hills Regional Center, 23330 Moulton Pkwy. Laguna Hills.
- Santa Ana Regional Center, 1928 S. Grand Ave. Santa Ana.
Community members unvaccinated against COVID-19 are required to wear face masks when walking into any of the offices listed above, per California Occupational Safety and Health guidelines. Vaccinated residents may opt out of wearing a face mask, as may children under the age of two and people with breathing or underlying health issues.
